![]() ![]() Helen was creative, hardworking, and compassionate. ![]() ![]() Clement Catholic Church in Boonville and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tallahassee. Helen was active in her community as a 4-H Leader, member of the PTA, and as an election poll volunteer. Myers in 1950 and together they raised six children, provided a home for several foster children, volunteered regularly for their church, and always stopped to help a stranger whenever the need arose. Never one to complain or reminisce, if you asked her about the “good ole days,” she was quick to point out life was better with age. She lived through the Great Depression, the flood of ‘37 and World War II. When her mother became ill, Helen, an adolescent, became the caregiver for her younger siblings. Many knew her as one of the “Sasse Girls” from the family farm stand. Helen Cecelia Sasse Myers, 93, of Boonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Novemin Tallahassee, Florida.īorn on Decemin Newburgh, Indiana, she was the second oldest child of Lillian Gertrude Hartman and Theodore Bernard Sasse. ![]()
